Twelve years after the release of the first chapter in the Modern Warfare series, we finally get to relieve the adventure with the new game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3! The official announcement for the game was made on Call of Duty’s official Twitter account on August 7, 2023, with a tweet. The official release date for the game is set to be on November 10, 2023, worldwide. Up until recently, no information about what we could expect from the game was released. Now, we have information on maps, a secret Russian mission, and a weapon arsenal that has never been seen before! In a tweet posted by the most reliable source for all Call of Duty besides the developer themselves on August 22, 2023, the news about the weapons arsenal was released. CharlieIntel on Twitter made the tweet stating that the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will have the largest weapons arsenal in the franchise’s long-running history. In the tweet, CharlieIntel reported that the multiplayer will include all of the weapons already existing in Modern Warfare 2, along with a full new arsenal of weapons. It is a very vital announcement because there are a lot of weapons in existence already. All of the weapons in the series follow a level status system, which allows the players to level up their weapons to receive different attachments for them. The max level for a primary weapon is 31, and for the secondary weapon, it is 10. Also mentioned in the tweet are some of the new weapons, including UMP, Scorpion EVO, and ACR. UMP and Scorpion EVO are both sub-machine guns, while the ACR is an assault rifle.

However, the most interesting thing besides the large number of weapons is that most of the weapons will not have their official name. This is due to there being too many legal issues for Call of Duty to resolve. Since there hasn’t been an announcement for the number of weapons coming to the game, we don’t know what guns will have new given games. CharlieIntel mentioned it is the largest weapons arsenal in Call of Duty history, so it is safe to assume there will be plenty to choose from. Nevertheless, fans will not be too bugged about gun naming issues. Fans are too excited at the prospect of having a variety of weapons unlike any other to choose from.
