Overwatch 2 Season 6 – The Least Interesting Heroes Right Now

We’re about to take a look at some of the least interesting heroes to play with in Overwatch 2 Season 6.

While it’s true that every hero in Overwatch 2 is unique and fun to play, every season has its specifics. As a result, some of the heroes that are usually good may not seem that interesting due to the current meta.

Speaking of the current top-tier heroes, we’ve already
written a guide that will show you how to counter some of them. The Overwatch 2 Season 6 patch notes have changed a lot of things, and the mid-season update also affected the current meta. With that said, some heroes remain a lot more popular than the rest.

Instead of focusing on those that are more intriguing to use in the current meta, the article will go over those that do not seem as fun. So, before you decide which Overwatch 2 Season 6 mythic skin you want, let’s learn more about a few heroes that are just not that interesting right now.

Brigitte

Overwatch 2 Brigitte Hero guide

We want to start by saying that Brigitte is by no means a boring hero to play. On the contrary, she’s one of the active supports that’s always in the middle of the fight. However, due to her role in Overwatch 2 Season 6, she’s just not as fun as some of the other alternatives.

In order to shine, Brigitte has to be used as a “bodyguard” to a squishy hero who needs to stay alive. A lot of people will use her next to the tank, but you can often find Brigitte guarding the likes of Hanzo and other types of heroes. Some people may like this, but others will find it annoying, especially when they look at the Overwatch 2 Season 6 new hero.

If you are fine with being in situations where you just need to wait for something to happen, you will definitely enjoy playing with Brigitte. However, those who like to be in the action all the time should probably go for other heroes like Kiriko.

Widowmaker

Overwatch 2

This is another hero in Season 6 of Overwatch 2 that can be extremely fun or boring, depending on the person you are. Widowmaker used to be one of the best a few seasons ago, but the nerfs made the hero feel a lot weaker. While it’s true that some people keep picking her in every situation, certain DPS players have started focusing on other things because Widowmaker is not that efficient or fun to play.

If you take a look at the Overwatch 2 hero tier list, you can see that many people do not put her that high. In fact, our team decided to add her to the “meh-tier”, which is no surprise, considering her most recent changes.

Generally speaking, this hero has always been better in the hands of professional players than casual Overwatch 2 fans. Furthermore, this is definitely not a universal hero because Widowmaker only works properly when used in a specific scenario. For example, she can be a good option in a poke combo, but she doesn’t do anything in a dive setup.

Roadhog

Generally speaking, the Overwatch 2 tanks are incredibly strong in pretty much any meta, and this includes Season 6. There are a few heroes that are really good right now, but the bad news is that Roadhod is not among them.

The hero hasn’t been the same since the nerfs a few seasons ago. As many of you probably remember, Roadhog was the hottest hero at the beginning of Overwatch 2 due to his incredible Hook one-shot. This combo was incredibly annoying, which is why Blizzard decided to take action and nerf it to the ground.

Although Hog got a few buffs after that, the hero hasn’t been the same and is just not that fun to play. Sure,  hooking a target is always satisfying, especially when you interrupt a given ability, but the lack of damage and the fact that you’re a giant training dummy does not help.

Pharah

The next pick on our list of the least interesting heroes in Overwatch 2 Season 6 is Pharah. We know that this will be controversial because this is one of those heroes with a loyal fanbase. However, you can’t deny the fact that Pharah is just a bit boring to play in the current meta.

Sure, the hero offers a lot of offensive potential and can do tons of damage. Nevertheless, she also has multiple counters, which means you can only really use her in combination with a pocket support. Surprise, surprise, the first name that comes to mind is Mercy, and the latter is just not worth getting with Pharah because it leaves the other members of the main suffer.

Of course, people who are really good with Pharah will argue and say that the hero is great and can work exceptionally well. This could be true in certain lineups, but there are better DPS heroes right now that are much more fun and effective. That’s the reason why Pharah’s not that interesting in Season 6 of Overwatch 2.

Sojourn

Despite being one of the more efficient heroes in Overwatch 2 Season 6 and the fact that he is pretty good against some of the meta heroes right now, Sojourn is just not that fun. Sure, the hero can seem incredibly overpowered in the hands of the best players in the world. However, most people who pick the hero do not land their railgun shots, which means they have problems. As a result, they will quickly give up on him because the Railgun headshots are what makes this hero so unique.

Those who manage to land their shots consistently will feel as if this is the strongest hero in the game. This is kind of true up to a point because Sojourn can easily deal with the enemy’s backline on her own. Moreover, she is one of the most mobile heroes in Overwatch 2 Season 6, another big plus many other heroes do not have.

To sum up, Sojourn can be fun to play, and the hero can be pretty effective against a variety of opponents. However, she will only work if you know how to use her Railgun shots

Sombra

Overwatch 2 season 6

The next Overwatch 2 Season 6 DPS that we want to talk about on this list is Sombra. This is one of the heroes with all the potential to be one of the game's most fun and successful heroes. In fact, she was in a similar state a few patches ago, but Blizzard’s nerfs have pretty much removed her from the game.

Nowadays, Sombra is a hero that you get when you want to counter a specific opponent. With that said, her EMP received even more nerfs in Season 6, which means that she can’t even counter some of the heroes she was really good against.

While it’s true that Sombra is a fascinating hero to play because you can become invisible and secure important kills, the fact that she’s so weak makes her less enjoyable. It might seem fun to hack people and not allow them to use their abilities. However, once you die from a random headshot or simply get bullied the entire game, you realize that other heroes are much more fun to play.

Reinhardt

The last option on the list of some of the least interesting heroes to play in Overwatch 2 Season 6 is Reinhardt. There is no arguing he’s one of the most successful tanks and a hero who can fit into many lineups. He does a lot of damage and can be really hard to kill, especially when there’s a pocket healer for him. Unfortunately, the hero is just not that fun to play when you compare him to some of the other tanks.

There are many people who find Reinhardt fascinating and are more than happy when they’re playing with him. However, others are fans of fast-moving tanks, such as Winston, Ball, and even Doomfist

Although he may not be the most mobile or interesting hero to play, no one can deny Rein’s incredible power. In fact, he is one of the most successful tanks in Season 6 of Overwatch 2, so we can expect to see a lot more from him in the future.
