A very early look at the Dragonflight 10.2 healer Rankings based on 10.1.7 Healer tier list data and early patch info.

With patch 10.1.7 here and patch 10.2 on the way, let's take a look at some early 10.2 healer rankings predictions as everyone is searching it. We'll start this off with a basis of information from our 10.1.7 list, we'll put a note on each spec with an (Up 2) etc. for what we think will happen based on patch notes.

Obviously, the 10.2 PTR is constantly in a state of flux, and by the time we update it, Blizzard might roll back a patch or add something new. At the end of the article, we'll take a look at some of the classes with the largest changes in more detail, and add some added insight from those within that class's community.

Dragonflight 10.2 Healer Ranking

Based on data from our 10.1.7 tier list and PTR patch information. These updates happen multiple times a week. This will act as our 10.2 healer Tier List for now as well, so it will be updated until 10.2 is released.

Updated 15/9 (9/15) this list is focused on raiding being your main goal

S Tier:

• Holy Priest (Changes. No movement)
• Holy Paladin (minor changes. No movement)

A Tier:

• Mistweaver Monk (Major changes)
• Restoration Druid (Major changes. No movement)
• Restoration Shaman (Buffs. No movement)
• Preservation Evoker (minor buffs & nerfs)
• Discipline Priest (major changes. up 1)

B Tier:

C Tier

Dragonflight 10.2 Healer Ranking – A Closer Look

Restoration Druid

Resto Druid is having some big changes in 10.2, and for us, it's a little too early to tell what will happen. DPS is a little easier, number goes up, stuff does more damage, numbers go down, and DPS goes down. For healers, this is the same… but when you start messing with cooldowns, and shift talents around, Resto Druid is having a lot of changes, new talents and old talents going. We put them in A Tier last patch, and for now, we'll keep them there. As 10.2 PTR kicks on we'll see what changes.

Preservation Evoker

Preservation is in a good spot already, and these buffs are nice and should give Preservation a bit more kick on some of their underused spells. There are a few nerfs to some spells as well, but we suspect overall Preservation Evoker is going to be in a solid spot.

Mistweaver Monk

A little like Preservation above, Monk is getting sweeping changes to a number of spells, with Blizzard looking to bring the toolkit more in line overall. It looks like Mistweaver will be in a solid spot, we put them in A Tier, and for now, it doesn't look like much change. The spec isn't in a bad spot, and these changes won't make them the best of the best but also won't kill them off.

Holy Paladin

Paladin has been on top for a while, and it looks like Blizzard is trying to bring them slightly in line. The flat 3% healing nerf looks a lot worse than it probably is, especially with Holy Light and Flash of Light being brought more in line. For now, we think S Tier is safe for Holy Paladin, but time will tell over the course of the patch.

Holy Priest

Holy Priest is really good, and, honestly, we're happy to see it get some love. Now, 10.2 will see some changes, with some nerfs to big spells… but honestly, we think the changes are fairly small on the grand scheme of things and actually Holy might keep its place at the top.

Discipline Priest

Blizzard is trying to improve the ramping and burst healing of Discipline which, let's be honest, is what puts most people off. Well, that and doing damage to heal is weird… for a healer. We were not impressed with Disc Priest in 10.1.7, but it does look like some improvements are being made. Time will tell, of course, but it does look to be going in the right direction. However, the changes to Power Infusion are still weird.

Restoration Shaman

Resto Shaman looks a lot stronger in terms of raw numbers. The healing style is still not for everyone, but the actual throughput is improved now. Most of the core kit has been buffed, and while we think A Tier is still the right option, in the right situation you might see Shaman popping off. I certainly hope so, because my guild has two of them.
