FFXIV Fall Guys Collaboration Event Announced

Unlikely, but not unwanted. Learn everything you need to know about the upcoming FFXIV Fall Guys Collaboration Event.

While a new expansion called Dawntrail is on the way, we still have some time to go until the release of 7.0 in the Summer of 2024. So how do we pass the time till then?

We have still FFXIV Patch 6.5 to look forward to which is slated to release later this year, split up into two parts. There is an Xbox Series X|S version on the way, which we can expect sometime in early 2024. and the much memeable Free Trial will also see a major upgrade with 6.5, which means you have all the reason to bully your friends into playing the critically acclaimed MMORPG.

So what do we do aside from that? How about a collaboration event with a massive other online title? What about Fall Guys? Yes, you heard right, there will be a Fall Guy X Final Fantasy XIV Collaboration event, both ways!

FFXIV Fall Guys Collaboration, Everything You Need to Know

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a free-to-play platform battle royale that took the world by storm back in 2020. the game is well known for featuring all kinds of franchises as part of their seasonal battle passes. Sometimes they even feature brand-new, limited game modes based on those franchises.

For the Final Fantasy XIV Collab, Fall Guys will feature 8 costumes based on FFXIV in its seasonal Fame Pass. Just by playing the game, you can earn skins based on Alphinaud, Alisaie, the Dragoon, a Namazu, the Fat and Fat Black Chocobo as well as the infamous Goobbue. And it wouldn't be a Final Fantasy collab without a White Mage costume.

So far we only know that the collab event will feature skins on the Fall Guys side of things. But it might also theme some FFXIV-themed obstacles. Fall Guys is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, for Free.

The XIV Collab will kick off on August 22 and will last until October 3!

But there's more. During the 6.5 Patch cycle, director and Producer Naoki Yoshida also promised that we'll see Fall Guys make an appearance in Eorzea.

That's right, there will be obstacle courses based on the bean battle royale which will pit several players against each other. Think of it as a more competitive version of the Leap of Faith minigame in the Gold Saucer. And there will probably be some rewards involved as well.
