Overwatch 2 Season 6 Heroes You Are Missing Out On

Here are some of the Overwatch 2 Season 6 heroes that you are probably missing out on.

We are in the middle of Season 6 of Overwatch 2, which means that there should be some big changes soon. The current meta has been here for several weeks now, and we’ve covered it in several articles. The last one is about the heroes with the lowest competitive win rate, so make sure to check it if you are unaware of the heroes you should avoid.

When it comes down to heroes, this article will also be devoted to them. However, instead of covering names we should avoid, we will go over a few heroes that are worth getting. None of them is considered a “meta hero” right now, but we have some valid points showing that these names are worth it.

Speaking ot the meta heroes, pretty much everyone knows that Orisa and Bastion are two of the best Overwatch 2 heroes right now. While Orisa continues to rip through the opponents, Bastion received a small nerf a few days ago. The most recent Overwatch 2 Season 6 update changed Reconfigure, which means the ability no longer restores armor when he’s transforming. This nerf is not that drastic, but it definitely has an impact on the hero’s win rate.

With that out of the way, here are some of the Overwatch 2 Season 6 Heroes you want to test.

Ashe

The reason why we want to start with Ashe is because the hero is incredibly underrated right now. Even though she’s most used in Poke combos by people who do not want to have a Widowmaker in their roster, Ashe is incredibly strong. Her ability to kill squishy targets fast, combined with her insane AoE damage makes her a solid pick in a variety of situations.

Dynamite is probably one of the most underrated abilities in Overwatch 2 because it deals a lot of damage. If the hero manages to get a good throw and hits multiple units, she can easily disrupt any team fight. This would lead to an easy kill because the AoE damage is high and she will force at least one or two defensive cooldowns.

Another thing about Ashe that many people do not take into account is her escape mechanism. One of the reasons why she’s a popular Overwaetch 2 Season 6 hero right now is because of her Coach Gun. In a meta with tons of dive combos, this ability can do wonders when used correctly. That’s why it’s no surprise that Ashe is incredibly effective against those setups.

The only real problem with using Ashe is related to B.O.B., her big ultimate. Even though the latter is usually really efficient, this isn’t the case in the current meta. Heroes like Bastion and Orisa, the go-to options in Overwatch 2 Season 6, are incredibly strong against him because they can pin and kill him really fast. Therefore, Ashe’s ult is not as effective as in other seasons.

Ana

There is no arguing that some support heroes in Overwatch 2 are more popular than the rest, and Ana is definitely on the list. She is a hero who shines in almost any meta, but since her skills are tricky, a lot of people prefer using classic supports like Kiriko and Illari in Season 6. There’s no arguing that these heroes are good, but if you take a look at our Overwatch 2 Support ranking tips, you’ll see that Ana is an option that’s worth your attention.

Ana is not a Support that you pick when you also want to do damage. However, a lot of people seem to forget that her Grenade is one of the best abilities in the game. If she uses it correctly, this thing can change the course of any team fight. Besides the massive damage, the grenade will also block incoming heals, which means Ana’s team can easily kill the enemy tank.

Aside from the deadly nades, we need to remind you that Ana’s Dart is also one of the best tools against a dive setup. As mentioned, there are a few of them in Overwatch 2 Season 6, so don’t be surprised if you see this hero every now and then. She can shut down an enemy Tracer and Winston, in no time, which is not possible with other supports.

Lastly, Ana’s healing works really well with the very popular heroes in the current setup, such as Bastion. His large model allows Ana to hit her shots much easier, which means that Bastion can keep doing insane amounts of damage.

Junker Queen

Even though JQ is a lot more popular than the other two heroes on this list, it’s safe to say she’s also one of the Overwatch 2 Season 6 heroes that a lot of players are missing out on. The tank is in Orisa’s shadows, but her insane damage, mixed with the constant healing from her bleed abilities, makes her a dangerous opponent.

In order to be successful with Junker Queen, you need to learn how to master the mid-range fight. This is definitely not a tank you want to use for long-rage fights because she’s just not that good. Fortunately, this isn’t the case up close because her normal attacks and knife alone do more damage than pretty much any other tank.

One of the few problems with Junker Queen you need to be aware of is related to her ultimate and the fact that it’s not easy to pull off. However, landing a good ultimate can have devastating consequences, so this is something that you should focus on.
