Dragonflight Season 3 Mythic+ Dungeon Rotation brings back some classic dungeons from recent expansions, plus the inclusion of Dawn of the Infinites as two separate Mythic+

It's time for a new season, and a new rotation of Mythic+ dungeons. Season 3 will see BFA, Cataclysm, Legion, and WoD join the rotation. Dragonflight Season 3 will see all old Dragonflight dungeons removed, with just the new Megadungeon Dawn of the Infinites included.

Dragonflight Season 3 Mythic+ Dungeon Rotation

Firstly, let's take a look at what's going on. Crucially, we'll see the end of all Dragonflight dungeons for now. Though, we suspect you'll see more from them in Season 4, assuming we get one. We'll also see Freehold, Neltharion's Lair, The Underrot, and Vortex Pinnacle leave us.

For Season 3, we'll see the pull get a major shakeup from what we're used to. With Dawn of the Infinites being added as two dungeons, we'll now see six different old dungeons making a return. From Legion, we get Darkheart Thicket, and Black Rook Hold. From BFA, we get Waycrest Manor and Atal'Dazar. From WoD, we'll get Everbloom, and from Cataclysm we'll see Throne of the Tides added.

It's a solid list of dungeons for sure, with the obvious inclusion of some Druid or Emerald Dream-themed dungeons for good measure. From the early look, it seems like Waycrest Manor and Darkheart Ticket are the early frontrunners for the most hyped of all the new dungeons. As always, it'll be interesting to see what routes people take, and how quickly the new dungeons get broken by people's modern pathing.

Again, the clear Druid/Emerald Dream theme here in some of the picks. Dawn of the Infinites is likely to be the hardest dungeon by far, so expect a lot of PTR tunning before that one goes live.

Sadly, none of the dungeons included are “new”, at least from the ones coming in. Obviously, Dawn of the Infinites will add a new challenge to players. But, it'd always be nice to have an old dungeon come into the Mythic+ pool each season.

It's clear that with the Dragonflight Season 3 Mythic+ Dungeon Rotation now confirmed, the lack of Dragonflight dungeons (if we ignore Dawn of the Infinites, which we are to make this point), it will be interesting to see what that means for the wider community. Though, for those who played in previous expansions, it'll be nice to dust off those old tactics for Season 3.
