WoW Dragonflight 10.2 Tank ranking and 10.2 Tank Tier List – Who’s the Best

A very early look at the Dragonflight 10.2 Tank Rankings based on 10.1.7 Tank tier list data and early patch info.

With patch 10.1.7 here and patch 10.2 on the way, let's take a look at some early 10.2 Tank rankings predictions as everyone is searching it. We'll start this off with a basis of information from our 10.1.7 list, we'll put a note on each spec with a (Up 2) etc. for what we think will happen based on patch notes.

Obviously, the 10.2 PTR is constantly in a state of flux, and by the time we update it, Blizzard might roll back a patch or add something new. At the end of the article, we'll take a look at some of the classes with the largest changes in more detail, and add some added insight from those within that classes community.

Tank changes

So, this is a little awkward, isn't it? Here we are, the first patch of the PTR and tanks have no real changes. I mean, honestly, maybe it's for the best. We like how tanks are right now, we think they all fit a niche, without compromising on any major area that then leaves them lacking kit.

But… do we think we'll see a few changes? Yes, Blizzard will touch on tanks at some point for sure, but, I just don't think they'll mess with any of them too much. Obviously, every player wants to have a few buffs, and we suspect if anything we'll see every class get something small.

For now, that's about it really, there's not much we can really say that we've not already said in our 10.1.7 Tank Tier list. Unless we see some crazy changes before 10.2 is released, you should be good to prepare for 10.2 as any tank class you want. So, hop into 10.1.7 on the live servers, play around with all the specs and decide what you like. Heck, jump into LFR and practice tanking, we're sure that'll go well.
