NRG Parts Ways with s0m

The North American Valorant team NRG has announced the departure of Sam “s0m” Oh, who has been in the organization since 2020

Sam “s0m” Oh was the longest-standing member of NRG’s Valorant team, joining the organization in October 2020, right after leaving Gen.G’s CSGO squad. The 21-year-old, alongside teammate Pujan “FiNESSE” Mehta, recently decided to take a break from competing and focus on their streaming career after Champions 2023. Following this decision, NRG have announced the departure of s0m.

NRG was the first and only organization that s0m has been a part of in Valorant. He played Controller roles for the North American squad during the 2023 VCT journey, where even though NRG had some impressive victories, the team ultimately failed to get any significant achievements.

s0m Will Focus on Streaming During Off Season

In the announcement, s0m mentioned that he saw this coming from NRG and clarified that it was also his decision to quit competing for a while – “I kinda just took a step back and decided that I’m just gonna stream for now.”
