Bilibili Gaming Defeat NRG Again to Secure Champions 2023 Playoffs

Bilibili Gaming make history by bringing two huge upsets against North American favorites and securing the Playoffs on their first global event

BLG arrived at Champions 2023 as underdogs from China in the shadows of EDward Gaming, and similar to their fellow regional competitors, this team has shocked the world by defeating NRG twice in the Group Stage.

Even after winning against NRG in their opening match, the North Americans were still considered the favorites due to their ability to win rematches and the sheer experience of the entire roster.

However, BLG proved the majority wrong by winning the series in a 2-0 domination. This has been such an impressive performance from a rookie team who faced one of the strongest cores in Valorant’s history and defeated them twice.

Dominant Attacking Half from Bilibili Gaming on Bind

While NRG had a lead in the first half of Bind with a 7-5 score and with Victor “Victor” Wong looking strong, BLG took the second half by storm with a dominant attacking side, winning the map 13-10. Lei “yosemite” Wang was the hero of the map with his incredible lurk plays that helped his roster secure the remarkable victory.

Bilibili Gaming Defeats NRG’s Morale on Ascent

NRG looked even more helpless on Ascent, scoring on four rounds on defense and losing the game 5-13. Wang “whzy” Haozhe proved again why he is one of the best Duelists from China by securing an incredible ACS of 327 on the map with a K-D of 21-12.
