How to Set Up Fortnite 2FA

• At the bottom, you’ll see Two-Factor Authentication
• Select your choice of Authenticator method

Methods for Fortnite 2FA

Fortnite 2FA is offered in a couple of different forms. Epic doesn’t offer phone verification with a text message yet. However, they do have two different methods that you can use. Since you’ll need this account for Battle Royale, the games launcher, and even UnrealFN if you’re using that, go with something you have easy access to.

The first is to use an authenticator app. For this, you’ll need to download a special app. Once in the app, you can add the Epic Games two-factor service and always retrieve a code from in there. It’s important to keep this app installed as it can often be a hassle to get back in once deleted. That’s understandable given that this exists to serve as a harder level of security though. The alternative method is email authentication. For this one, you’ll receive an email in your account with a one-time code. Both of these methods are about the same in terms of security and how long it takes to get access to your account, so either is fine for Fortnite 2FA! It just comes down to preference.

Fortnite 2FA isn’t just for security. Epic has started giving out free cosmetics and rewards for registering in this way. It won’t be a full free Fortnite skin, but it’s an emote which is definitely worth picking up. You can get yourself the Boogiedown emote by setting up 2FA.

What Do You Need Fortnite 2FA for?
