Best Landing Spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3

These are the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, where you can jump in and get the best start to your game.

There are tons of new spots on the map this season, but your choice of landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 makes a big difference to how you perform in-game. Ideally, you want a landing spot that can get you set up with the best weapons, enough mats, and maybe even a few early elims. Not every landing spot is perfect, but the map has a lot more of them in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3.

The map has had some improvements since last season. Last time, Mega City completely dominated as both the biggest landing spot and one of the best possible places to get kitted up. It’s still here this season. This time though, the map now has enough other areas to make things a bit less lopsided. The top Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 landing spots are much more evenly spread around the map.

There have been quite a few new areas on the map which make for great Fortnite landing spots. If you’re still trying to figure out your game plan for the season, these are the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3.

Best Landing Spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3

These are some of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3. There’s something for everyone here, with landing spots that are quieter through to areas where you can drop in and get an instant fight. These are the top picks!

Mega City

Best Landing Spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3

The top Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 landing spots haven’t all changed. Some are still here from last season. Including Mega City, which has become pretty relevant this season. The huge city hasn’t had a whole lot of changes. The Fortnite Vault located here is no longer a 100% chance of a mythic shotgun and top loot, but it’s still got good odds compared to most of the map.

Mega City is a little quieter this season. Since there are fewer players, the incredible amount of loot spawns here (by far the densest landing spot in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3) are spread among fewer players. You’re getting high amounts of loot and the buildings have plenty of mobility. This is a big plus with this season’s lacklustre options.

Having cars, launchpads, and the racetrack right next to Mega City is a huge plus. It’s a bit part of why this is one of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3.

Rumble Ruins

Best Landing Spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3

This is one of the new spots on the map this season. It’s an area in the jungle biome which is proving a decent spot to arrive at.

There’s enough loot here, but it might take a few landings to learn all the spawns. Some areas have fewer chest spawns than it seems like it should. You’ll have to explore some hidden areas to try and get fully kitted up here. There is access to a few hidden vaults with rare chests here and a really useful scouting NPC you can hire. It’s a good spot, but you’ll have to work a bit to get the best items. It’s not as dense as Mega City either. However, it definitely doesn’t attract as much attention. The best Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 landing spots are a bit more spread out this time.

This one of the best Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 landing spots is pretty popular at the moment. As one of the new POIs, it’s likely going to be busy for the first half of the season. It’s a more manageable number of players though. You’ll need to be prepared for a fight if you land here, but you can evade.

Slappy Shores

Best Landing Spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3

Shady Stilts has flown a bit under the radar as a Fortnite landing spot in Chapter 4, it’s actually been pretty strong since Season 1. With a decent mix of mats, there are more than enough chest spawns, and decent mobility from vehicles along with access to the outposts in the north’s launchpads.

This spot has gotten a bit busier since the end of last season. It was the only place where you could grab the Fortnite X Spider-Man web-slingers, which pushed a lot of players to jump in here. Many have stuck around and made it their regular spot. There’s more than enough gear for a squad. It’s a nice middle ground between the busier POIs and those that have been pretty neglected lately.

Shattered Slabs

Best Landing Spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3

Shattered Slabs sits on the west side of the map, which has had a few issues since Chapter 4 Season 1. It’s a bit underdeveloped, but for some types of players there are a few reasons you might want to consider landing here. As a quieter start, it’s one of the top Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 landing spots.

Since this POI isn’t as flashy and fun as the newer ones, it’s pretty heavily under-visited. For a named location you can get a serious amount of loot with very little competition. On top of that, there is still a vault here, if you luck out with the High Card spawn you could end up with some much more powerful weaponry without much of a fight.

The main drawback is mats and mat variety. You’re not getting a full spectrum of different material types and frankly not enough of any really. This makes it a better landing spot for Zero Builds, but it has some problems for general Battle Royale.

The Citadel

Fortnite Chapter 4 Citadel

Another slightly mixed pick out of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 is the Citadel. This has been a bit underdeveloped since the Ageless and his Shockwave Hammer left. (Unless someone is still there pretending) However, there are a few reasons to come back this season.

The Citadel has loads of chests, it’s finally gotten some to replace the missing oathbound chests. On top of that there’s okay mobility with ziplines, a Capture Point for some guaranteed higher weapons, and plenty of stone if you’re willing to harvest for a while.

The Citadel is still pretty much slept on by a lot of the player base. It’s definitely worth jumping into for some games though. The Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 landing spots like his are great for a quieter start.

Lonely Labs

Best Landing Spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2

Lonely Labs is one of the smaller named locations and easy enough to forget about. It’s located right on the furthest point on the map for a named location. It’s a cluster of smaller buildings, and generally a bit forgotten. This makes it perfect for landing at a named location without having too many fights!  Another one of the top landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 for fewer fights.

Lonely Labs has a good amount of chests given its size. The buildings might be small, but with chests hidden on roofs, below buildings, in boxes, there’s tons of loot you can get here. There’s a capture point too if you don’t quite get everything.

The main downside to this POI is how long it takes to rotate out. It is a bit remote. However, it doesn’t mean you’ll be running with the storm on your back through the entire game. There are ziplines heading out of Lonely Labs which should lead you towards Outposts and Brutal Bastion. These are spots with launchpads, so getting out of here isn’t too difficult. You just need to learn the proper routes to get out.

Which of the Landing Spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 is Right for You?

Those are some of the top places to drop this season. There are loads of viable options at the moment though. The map is much more alive than it was last season. Each of these spots can fit different types of players. There are quieter spots if you’re focused on getting set up for the late game. However, there are also busier areas like the Ruins if you’re specifically after a fight. Which is exactly best for you is going to depend on what you’re looking for in a Fortnite landing spot.
