Team BDS vs MAD Lions is the rematch of the last Grand Finals of the LEC, but this, BDS are the underdogs.
The last round of the LEC Summer Regular Season is approaching! The teams have already played 6 matches, but so far, only 2 of them managed to get enough wins to qualify for the LEC Summer Group Stage. However, MAD Lions and Team Heretics are right behind G2 Esports and Fnatic, with the Lions facing the final boss of their Spring LEC on Monday – Team BDS.

Team BDS
Team BDS revamped their roster before the start of the year and made it to the Grand Final of the Spring Playoffs. While they failed to win it all – even after leading the last series 2-0 – they still proved to everyone that they are a force to be reckoned with.
However, Juš „Crownie” Marušič and his teammates are struggling in the Summer due to inconsistencies in their draft and in their gameplay in the Rift. While they had 2 extremely dominant matches, all 4 of their losses have been blowouts. They must stabilize as there’s only a few days left until the Group Stage!
MAD Lions
The MAD Lions started out incredibly strong, winning all three of their matches in the first week of the Summer LEC. Yasin “Nisqy” Dincer and co. beat Team Vitaility, G2 Esports and KOI, showing that the Mid-Season Invtational was just a brief setback, and they are still one of the best teams in the EMEA region.
They couldn’t replicate the same success in the second round: even though they managed to beat Astralis, they couldn’t come back from a weaker early game against Fnatic, and Excel Esports gave them a beating on Monday as well. While against the British org, the Lions could fight back, in the end, Andrei “Odomane” Pascu and his team proved better, finishing their second round with a 3-0 scoreline.
Team BDS vs MAD Lions Predictions
Even though MAD Lions struggled a bit last week, they are still among the best teams in the LEC with a 4-2 standing, just behind Fnatic and G2 Esports. Meanwhile, Team BDS is at 6th place tied with Astralis, KOI and SK Gaming.
Moreover, MAD Lions have showed to comeback from 0-2 in the last LEC Finals against BDS, while also having a strong sense of direction on the Rift: a quiet early game followed by and extremely strong midgame, and a dominant finish. The only counterplay to this strategy was to stomp them in the early game like Fnatic, but BDS isn’t the strongest early game team right now – unless Adam “Adam” Maanane and Ilias “nuc” Bizriken can step up, they have a slim chance of beating the Spring Champs.
