G2 Esports vs Team BDS Preview: LEC 2023 Summer Group Stage

Before the Kings of Europe advance towards another go at Playoffs, they'll have to get past one of the hardest teams to beat from Spring, Team BDS. Read all in our G2 Esports vs Team BDS preview!

If you've been following the LEC since February, you'll remember BDS' unexpected push to the top of the placements. Led by their insane top carry Adam “Adam” Maanane, the Swiss org found much-needed success in the second split, but unfortunately lost their shot at MSI to MAD. On the other hand, their next opponent G2 has only lost once this split. Will Team BDS have it in them to break the strongest winstreak of this season? If you're betting on the LEC, this G2 vs BDS betting guide is for you.

G2 Esports vs Team BDS Preview

G2 Esports

Unsurprisingly, G2 Esports has been performing excellently in the Summer split. The top dogs certainly haven't lost their touch, considering that they currently have the longest winstreak of the season. But out of all the powerhouses they've bested, there's only one former dark horse left in their path. At the same time, the unchanged roster has made some improvements on their macro during their off-season. On top of their considerable champ pools, Caps and Hans Sama's new flex picks have given them a lot of unpredictability on the Rift. Furthermore, the Caps-led team has seemingly gotten better at baiting out misplays from their opponents. Suffice to say, they look the best they've ever been this season.

G2 vs Team BDS Preview

BDS' last match-up was an absolute snowball after the first loss against Heretics. After being more familiar with their enemy's playstyle, they turned the table at every corner, combining CC flawlessly in the early-game skirmish. Labrov's smart flanks allows his team to capitalize when they want to look for any kind of advantage. Simply put, they work best when they have their bases covered. That said, the boys in blue have humungous chances of winning the split altogether, assuming they continuously keep their Worlds-level top laner from getting hard-focused in the first fifteen minutes.

Team BDS Roster

  • Adam “Adam” Maanane
  • Théo “Sheo” Borile
  • Ilias “nuc” Bizriken
  • Juš “Crownie” Marušič

G2 Esports vs Team BDS Predictions

Team BDS has been able to capitalize on their advantages well this far, but G2's superior tactics have been known to get them out of their deficits lately. Not only that, but their form is just better at this point in the LEC. All signs point towards a clear 2-1 score in favor for the Kings of Europe.
