The LEC started their 2023 season with huge updates to their tournament structure. With the addition of another Split, introducing best-of-threes (or “bo3” for short) and having 3 days of high-octane matches per week, the EMEA League of Legends scene has never looked this competitive. Championship points will be given depending on how high teams place at the end of each split. A silver shield will be awarded to three split winners as they approach the season finals, an event will pit the split winners against the 3 highest-scoring teams in the LEC. The winning team will be crowned the champion of EMEA, and will place as the LEC #1 Seed for this year's World Championship.
