PUBG Mobile Releasing As Battlegrounds Mobile India

Some good news for PUBG Mobile players in India.

Krafton revealed the details of Battlegrounds Mobile India, and the game will release as an alternative to PUBG Mobile in India.

The Indian government banned PUBG Mobile in India in September 2020. The stern decision by the government left the game’s professional players and fans stranded. After a wait of nine months, Krafton has finally come around to PUBG Mobile’s rescue in the Indian subcontinent.

According to the presser, Battlegrounds Mobile will offer a world-class AAA multiplayer gaming experience on mobile. Krafton has also revealed that the game will feature its own in-game events like outfits and features. Although there is brief mention of any in-game details, it sounds like Battlegrounds Mobile India will have different cosmetics and features from PUBG Mobile, which the game developers will update regularly. Krafton has also promised that the company will collaborate with partners to build an esports ecosystem and will start with a series of India-specific, in-game events at launch.

After rigorous scrutinizing from the Indian government on Krafton’s privacy and security norms in PUBG Mobile, the South Korean video game developer will make those factors their top priority in Battlegrounds Mobile India.

The company has explained that it will work with partners to ensure data protection and security.

According to the privacy policy, the game will have time restrictions and players 18 and under will need to fill in their parent’s contact details in order to get legally eligible to play the game. Underage players will also get only three hours of playtime and cannot spend more than $95 per day.

Krafton is yet to announce the launch date for Battlegrounds Mobile India. Stay tuned with ESTNN for any further developments.
