Honkai Star Rail Reroll Guide

Honkai Star Rail Reroll, to do or not to do. That's the question, and it's what we hope to answer here.

We all want to get the best possible start in a gacha game, and Honkair Star Rail is no exception to this rule. Now, it's important to note that, if you don't want to “min max” your playing, then this isn't something you need to worry about. However, if you're searching for this article, then it's safe to assume you at least want to consider it.

Over time, you'll earn most of the characters you want just by playing. However, you can get lucky early and get a few of the ones you want. Below, in this Honkai Star Rail Reroll guide we'll tell you how to do it, why, and how long each method takes.

Honkai Star Rail Reroll – How to Make a New Account

Things have changed in Honkai Star Rail for those familiar with Genshin Impact. For Honkai, the game isn't as keen to let you reroll without any kickback from the game. However, where there's a will, there's a way.

To make an account for Honkai Star Rail, simply click the “Log In” button on the game's main starting screen, or via the Yoyolab website. From there, click “Register Now” and follow the instruction as shown below.

  • Enter Email Address
  • Take the Verification Code sent to your email address
  • Enter the Desired Password
  • Retype the desired password

Once all this is done and you've entered your information, you're now ready to head into the game. Another option is to swap servers with the same account as progress isn't saved across servers. Obviously, you'll have a higher ping, but that shouldn't cause too many issues.

Progression of your Honkai Star Rail Rerolled Account

Now comes the fun, and time-consuming, part of this process. There are a few ways to do it. All of the below 3 methods work, but remember that each subsequent method requires you to do the previous method as well.

The Fast way – 30-40 minutes

  • Get into the game, select your character and go through the intro part of the game.
  • Avoid the early enemies when you can, it's a waste of time for what we're trying to do
  • Once you speak with Himeko and Asta you'll get your first summon. This will always be Asta
  • Open your mail to claim you 20 Star Rail Passes reward for pre-registering to play the game.
  • Use these on the Departure Warp Banner
  • If you fail to pull what you want. Restart and go again.

The middle way – 40-50 minutes

  • Once you done the above, now enter whatever current reward codes the game has
  • Go through the tutorial, claim all the chests and achievements you can to get the max Jades
  • Use the Jades on the Limited Banner and use the earned Embers currency to purchase more Star Rail Passes for more pulls

The slow way – 1 hour to 2 hours

  • Now, continue the game until you meet Pom Pom and claim your Trailblazer level rewards
  • This will net you two more Star Rail Passes, and unlock more through the Trailblazers Will event
  • Purchase more Star Rail Passes with the Embers you've collected along the way
  • Lastly, collect your Star Rail Passes from the following events – Internal Purchase Officer in Hertha Space Station, Starlight Echange store, and Operation Briefing Part 1
  • You'll now have the 40 Star Rail Passes across all the steps to guarantee you a 5-Star Banner pull

In theory, you can repeat these steps as often     as you like. As you do it more and more, the speed at which you do it will improve. The big questions is, is it worth doing these rerolls? Personally, it's just not for me, but if you want to maximize what you can get out of the free to play style, then this might be a great way to start.
