What's new in Honkai Star Rail 1.1? Two new banners, plenty of new events, but sadly no expansion on the story.

Banners

Contract Zero

Contract Zero

The first of two banners in Honkai Star Rail 1.1 is “Contract Zero”. The featured 5-star character for this Event Warp is Silver Wolf, a Quantum Element character on the Path of Nihility. By adding new Element Weaknesses, she makes it easier for any team to be stronger against any opponent, inducing weakness break more often. The 4-star characters featured alongside her are: Dan Heng, Asta, and Serval. Four Elements, four Paths. You really can't go wrong trying to round out or improve your team with this banner.

Brilliant Fixation

Incessant Rain

This round of Brilliant Fixation Light Cone Banner feature's one of Silver Wolf's two great Light Cones. This one of course being the 5-star Incessant Rain. Incessant Rain is of course a Nihility Light Cone, and what it adds to those debuffers is quite a lot. By increasing Effect Rate, CRIT Rate, and increasing DMG on targets of the wearer by the entire team, this is a loaded Light Cone. It turns not only Silver Wolf's team into a more powerful force, but makes her a pretty decent attacker in her own right.

As is likely to come with every update, there are 10 Star Rail Special Passes up for grab over a total of 7 login days during this update. This means every player who plays at least 7 days of Honkai Star Rail 1.1 is guaranteed a 4-star Light Cone or Character from a 10x pull from the Banner of their choice.

Starhunt Game

Starhunt Game

The Starhunt Game is the first proper event in Honkai Star Rail. It has its own side story featuring the star of the update: Silver Wolf. With a very interesting looking into her backstory, and some small main story development, along with worthwhile rewards, this even is quite an exciting peak for what is to come.

The event is run in three phases following the Story Mode. There are three “volumes” in which three sets of tasks must be completed in each. The player must scan hidden graffiti, take pictures of locations on the Herta Space Station, and complete Sealed Sector missions unlocked after the Story Mode is completed.
