CS2: Dav1deuS leaves 9Z

Following his decision, Dav1deuS is no longer a part of 9Z.

Although David dav1deuS” Tapia Maldonado has been a part of 9Z for some time and was one of the best rifles, he will no longer continue to play for La Violeta. According to the most recent news, he decided to step down from Latin America’s leading Counter-Strik squads.

Dav1deuS’s decision

Once it became clear that dav1deuS was no longer a part of 9Z, the player decided to release a statement where he addressed what caused his decisions. According to it, the 23-year-old player wanted to organize his goals and feel happy again. This indicates that he was probably not having fun recently.

This is definitely a huge blow for 9Z because dav1deuS was one of the squad’s best players. He is famous for being the best CSGO player in China and one of the most successful in South America, but it seems like we won’t see him in action anytime soon. Let’s not forget he is 23 years old, which means he may decide to come back to the professional scene.

His most recent accomplishment

CS2 fans who’ve followed dav1deuS and his team know that the squad reached the playoffs of ESL Pro League Season 18. The team was able to eliminate Virtus.Pro, but it felt short against Moviestar Riders, which put an end to the squad’s conquest.

Since dav1deuS left 9Z, we will keep an eye on the person who will fill in the squad’s free space. Speaking of the players, the roster consists of the following names:

  • Franco “dgt” Garcia
  • Maximiliano “max” Gonzalez
  • Nicolás “buda” Kramer
  • Santino “try” Rigal
  • Gustavo “tge” Motta  (the team’s coach)

Besides the most recent results at ESl Pro League Season 18, dav1deuS also reached two Majors in his career. It’s sad to see him go like that, but we believe he will be back soon. As for his replacement, 9z announced that there will be news soon, so we will make sure to follow everything and let you know when there’s something new.
