Quest Will Have Their Full Squad at TI12

Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin has officially announced that he has successfully secured a visa for entry into the United States. This news marks a dramatic reversal from his previous visa denial, a setback that had cast a cloud of uncertainty over his participation in the upcoming tournament.

The initial denial of Kuzmin's visa had raised questions about his ability to fulfill his role as the coach for Quest, a Dota 2 team gearing up for one of the most prestigious events in esports, The International.

The former HellRaisers carry took to Telegram to share the news with his followers.

“Visa secured. The work is in full swing.” he writes. “I'll try to capture some moments from The International 12.”

Daxak and Quest Eager to Prove Themselves at the International

Quest Esports made an unexpected but intriguing move by appointing Russian carry player Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin as its new Dota 2 coach before the DreamLeague Season 21. Daxak had taken charge of the Saudi outfit for DreamLeague Season 21 and TI12.

What makes this coaching addition all the more surprising is that, despite being a seasoned Dota 2 veteran with seven years of competitive experience, Kuzmin lacks any prior coaching experience. This unconventional choice underlines the trust and confidence that Quest Esports has in his deep understanding of the game and his ability to transition from a player to a coach seamlessly.

Daxak's first assignment as the new coach for Quest Esports turned out to be a bit underwhelming. Despite the excitement surrounding his coaching debut, Oleh “kaori” Medvedok and his team encountered numerous challenges during the tournament, resulting in their early elimination.

The group stages of the tournament saw Quest Esports struggling to make headway, as they failed to advance to the playoffs. Their campaign was marred by a series of tough matches and challenging opponents, resulting in an overall group stage performance that fell short of their expectations. They concluded their tournament run with a 2-0 loss to the formidable Gaimin Gladiators.
