LOUD Reportedly Parted Ways with Valorant Coach fRoD 

LOUD’s Valorant roster has reportedly parted ways with their head coach Daniel “fRoD” Montaner – according to a report by The Enemy

According to Bruno Povoleri from The Enemy, Brazilian Valorant organization LOUD has not renewed the contract of the head coach of the team, Daniel “fRoD” Montaner. As a result, he won’t be present for the squad during their 2024 VCT Season. Povoleri’s report pointed out that fRoD “was well evaluated internally, but divided opinions among players.”

The rumors about internal issues of LOUD were shed to light after Masters Tokyo, a tournament where the Brazilians were sent home without any victory, which was shocking since the roster came from winning the VCT Americas. At Champions 2023, the team looked way better as they were able to secure top 3 spots. With fRoD not being on the team for LOUD’s future VCT journeys, they will be searching for a new head coach.

fRoD’s Journey With LOUD

After LOUD won Champions 2022, the organization and their head coach at that time, Matheus “bzkA” Tarasconi, decided to go their separate ways, and fRoD joined the organization as the new coach with the huge responsibility of leading a Champions-winning team.

The start of the year 2023 looked like the continuation of LOUD’s glory days, as they managed to reach the Grand Final of LOCK//IN, losing to Fnatic in a terrific Bo5 series that goes down as one of the best Valorant matches we have witnessed. 

Fast forward to VCT Americas, LOUD proved themselves as the strongest team in the region, dominating teams like Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, and NRG, among others. They left the tournament with the trophy and, naturally, became one of the favorites during the Masters – the one squad that could beat Fnatic. 

Sadly, the team left Tokyo without a single win to their name. Then, rumors about internal issues started to pop up before the Champions, and it was expected that the roster’s star player, Erick “aspas” Santos, would leave LOUD, which ended up being true after the final VCT tournament this year. 

LOUD’s performance during VCT Americas was much better than the disappointment that was Masters Tokyo, and the Brazilian squad had a decent year overall. As a result, fRoD’s addition as a coach didn’t seem like a bad decision.
