Even though CS2 fans are probably eager to watch IEM Sydney a couple of days from now, we will have the chance to see another CS2 tournament – Rise of Legion. In fact, this will be the first CS2 tournament in India after the game became available a couple of days ago. 

Rise of the Legion will be a LAN tournament that will take place in Kolkata, India. Organized by The Esports Club, the brand has partnered with the likes of Lenovo and Intel, which resulted in an event whose prize pool is 2,00,000 INR. According to the information, the first CS2 tournament will take place at the Raajkutir Swabhumi, and it will begin on October 29.

Some CS2 fans may not know that Rise of Legion is actually a tournament series. The last version of the competition was in Hyderabad, but most CS fans may not remember it because the event focused more on Valorant. However, this is no longer the case because Counter-Strike 2 became available, and it’s one of the hottest games in the world right now. Besides focusing on the game, Rise of Legion: Kolkata will also allow fans to meet their favorite players, have access to a special experience zone, and so on.

Interestingly, people who want to take part in this CS2 tournament can do that by signing up for the Open Qualifiers. Rise of Legion: Kolkata allows users to put their skills to the test and win a sport for the LAN finals.

Even though the qualifiers allow people to earn a spot in the event, it will not be easy because teams will play in a Bo1 single-elimination format. In the end, the best 4 squads will receive an invitation to the Rise of Legion: Kolkata CS2 tournament.
