Breeze is Making a Return with Massive Changes

After its disappearance from the map pool for months, Breeze is coming back on Season 7’s Act 2 with a bunch of changes

Known as an aim map, Breeze was taken out of the map pool on patch 6.0 alongside Bind. While Bind returned during patch 6.08, Breeze was still being worked on. Finally, Riot Games are bringing back this map at the start of Season 7, Act 2.

As always, the map is coming with a bunch of changes, a lot of them at A Shop and Cave. Here are all the changes and our prediction on how it will affect the gameplay –

Compared to the Bind changes we saw after its return, Breeze is facing a lot more updates on both sites and mid. These modifications look pretty significant and will certainly change the way the map was previously being played. Here are all the changes highlighted –

Mid Pillar

The left side of the mid pillar has been completely blocked off, now with an elevation area. It seems that you will now be able to jump up to the elevated point to peek mid. Moreover, this will obviously alter the way players would take duels against the double-door players.

Mid Cubby

Due to the new elevated area, you will not be able to access the mid cubby from the left side of the pillar. Moreover, the brick boxes that provided cover in the cubby have been removed, leaving players open to the double-door duel. These changes will likely favor the defending side, while the elevated point may benefit the attackers.

B Site

The walls covering the B site are now very different, as the site's back wall is now much less wide and appears to be smaller. Moreover, there is also an elevation point with a box. The right side’s wall has been closed off with another elevated box to jump and reach the other side.

B Back

The stairs on B's back have been removed, and a wall now blocks off the area, with just an elevation point being the only way to enter the site from that spot. At first glance, these B updates can work for defenders to hold the site and attackers on post plants, and we will need to see players test it out to find out more.

A Hall

The A hall changes will shock and upset Viper players and anyone who likes to lurk on this map. Agents apart from Omen and other teleporters won’t be able to pass the hall to open the metal door that overlooks the A site. Moreover, while you will still be able to peek the right side of A hall up the rope, the pathway there looks to be blocked as well. This is going to be a huge deal as defenders will now enjoy more security without having to think about a lurk in the hall.

Mid Wood Doors

The left mid door is now open, but no hiding spot behind it as it is blocked. Moreover, there is a stack of spammable boxes in front, and it makes a small cubby. Defenders can now push and take an aggressive angle outside the mid-doors, while attackers will have a broader area to move into when going to A from mid.

A Shop

If you look into the entrance of A shop, you will instantly notice the tall boxes and a much open area. These changes are much better explained by having a look at A cave.

A Cave

A cave received the most amount of changes as the only entrance now seems to be the shop. Moreover, there are now two tall boxes before the A entrance.

A Site

The last set of changes is done to the pyramids on A site, making them taller with now a platform added underneath them. Moreover, they now have unique attributes, as we can see the left pyramid showing an artwork of a shrimp while the right one features a crab.

Pearl and Fracture Will Be Removed After the Arrival of Breeze

As Breeze is being reintroduced, it will take the place of Pearl and Fracture, which will be inactive for a rework.

Pearl needs some much-deserved changes, as the recent updates on the map seem to have done very little in terms of improving the gameplay, especially on the B site. On the other hand, it will be interesting to see what new stuff will be added to Fracture.
