Paper Rex Player Jinggg to Miss VCT 2024 Season

Paper Rex’s Duelist Wang “Jinggg” Jing will be completing his mandatory National Service requirement in 2024 as a Singaporean citizen

Paper Rex are enjoying a dominant run in their 2023 VCT Season, and a lot of it was possible for their talented Raze player Wang “Jinggg” Jing, who, alongside Ilya “something” Petrov, brought Duelist prowess to the team. However, the 20-year-old player won’t be able to participate in the team’s 2024 VCT journey to complete his mandatory National Service

Paper Rex’s head coach Alexandre “alecks” Sallé confirmed this to Round Up Gamers, saying, “Jinggg is leaving PRX at the end of this season and will not be participating in the 2024 season,” adding, “We would like to send him to the army as soon as possible. That way, he will leave the army sooner.”

Singapore employs a conscription system where all qualified citizens and second-generation permanent residents are required to do military services for the country.

Jinggg joined PRX in 2021, replacing Zhan Teng “shiba” Toh on the roster. During the team’s 2022 VCT Season, Jinggg was part of the team’s most successful year so far as they came second at Masters Copenhagen and 4th at Masters Reykjavik, two of the first international events in Valorant.

Back then, the Jinggg and Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto duo quickly became known as the most aggressive players of professional Valorant. Now, Jinggg is continuing the legacy with the team’s newest addition something, who is playing at Champions 2023
