ZETA Division Drops 2023 Roster: Quest for Redemption Begins

Japanese esports team ZETA Division puts their VCT 2023 roster up for sale after a disappointing performance

In the dynamic and ever-changing world of esports, assembling the perfect squad can be challenging and ZETA Division's journey to find the squad that clicks has been disappointing. Just when it seemed they had found their winning formula, the recent year's Valorant Championship Tour (VCT) took an unexpected turn, disappointing fans and leaving the organization with no choice but to shake up their entire Valorant roster in hopes for a fresh new start to assembling the dream team.

ZETA Division Puts Their Team Up for Sale

The esports organization ZETA Division has decided to put their entire Valorant squad up for sale shortly after they had assembled and confirmed the squad for the VCT 2023. This decision comes on the heels of a lackluster and underwhelming performance in the grand-scale international tournament, where the team had high hopes for success. The organization, known for its commitment to excellence, has made it clear that changes are on the horizon.

After their most recent participation in Valorant Champions 2023, where they finished tied for 16-13th place with losses to FNATIC and NRG Esports, ZETA faced a stark reality. The squad they had so carefully assembled failed to deliver the desired results. This meant the trust placed on the organization's “winning squad” was misplaced and in urgent need of a revamp.

The team's journey in the Valorant Championship Tour 23 was marked by unmet expectations. Despite their historic success in earlier stages of the tournament, including a notable third-place finish in Iceland, ZETA stumbled when it mattered most.

OpTic Gaming handed them a bitter defeat in the lower bracket final in Reykjavik, and their subsequent efforts in Istanbul were thwarted by LOUD. These setbacks were tough to swallow for an organization striving for excellence, sealing its fate and forcing the organization to move on to a better squad of players.
