MinD_ContRoL Returns for Another OG Cameo

The decision to bring in The International 2017 champion is a significant one, as he is renowned for his versatility and exceptional gameplay mechanics. Coming right before The International 2023, the DreamLeague Season 21 tournament is shaping up to be a thrilling battleground for Dota 2 enthusiasts worldwide, and the addition of MinD_ContRoL to OG's lineup only intensifies the anticipation. Before his current stint with OG at the DreamLeague Season 21 tournament, the Nigma Galaxy offlaner had already featured as a stand-in player for the team during the ESL One Berlin Major 2023. He boarded the Germany-bound plane with the French outfit when three players from the OG roster encountered visa-related issues, rendering them unable to participate in the tournament.

MinD_ContRoL's presence during the Berlin Major Group Stages proved to be a pivotal factor in OG's journey through the tournament. OG, led by the iconic Sébastien “Ceb” Debs, made an impressive run in the Group B stage. Ceb's squad remained unbeaten throughout the group phase, securing a strong second-place finish and setting the stage for their Upper Bracket Semifinals appearance.

As OG advanced to the Upper Bracket Semifinals, expectations were high, and fans were eager to witness their favorite team's performance on the big stage. The road to glory, however, took an unexpected turn as they faced formidable adversaries in Gaimin Gladiators and Evil Geniuses.

Unfortunately, OG experienced back-to-back losses against these top-tier opponents, which ultimately halted their journey in the tournament. Despite the disappointment of not clinching the championship, OG secured a respectable 5th-6th place finish.

MinD_ContRoL's exciting new venture sees him joining forces with another Bulgarian talent, Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov, as they both embark on their OG journey. This move, while currently a loan arrangement from Nigma Galaxy, holds the potential to become a permanent fixture in the OG lineup, contingent upon the 33-year-old's performance.

DM Dropped Following OG’s Disastrous TI12 Qualification Campaign

OG found themselves at a crossroads following their disappointing failure to qualify for The International 12 (TI12), a tournament every Dota 2 team aspires to compete in. This setback prompted the organization to embark on a roster reshuffle, signaling their determination to address the issues that led to their underwhelming performance.

As part of this restructuring effort, Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin, a talented player but in a role that didn't quite align with the team's vision, made his exit from the squad. The primary focus of this reshuffle was to bolster and elevate their offlane position.
